These are books which other severe ME/CFS patients recommended to me for this page.  I  have trouble reading for more than a chapter at a time on good days, so I haven't read them all myself.  I did select from ones I saw recommended over and over, and which had the best reviews.

Extremely Severe ME/CFS—A Personal Account by Whitney Defoe (link to text)


Classic Pacing for a better life with ME by Ingebjørg Midsem Dahl this one I have heard reccomened again and again from many ME/CFS patients.


Severe ME/ CFS: A Guide to Living book by Emily collingridge. Really thorough guide with tips on all the issues we face (how to lie so it doesn't hurt. Nutrition. Celebrations? Pacing etc


M.E. and Me: A Doctor's Struggle with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome by Dr. KN Hng a recommender mentions this book helped her family understand PEM crashes.


Lighting up a Hidden World: CFS and ME by Valarie Free

How to be Sick- a Buddhist inspired guide for the chronically ill and their caregivers by Toni Bernhard recommended for dealing with the mental aspect of chronic illness.
